Science Literacy Week 2017: a celebration of STEM

Mon, 2017-09-18 00:00 -- Alisha Bainbridge

Science Literacy Week 2017 kicks off Monday, September 18. This initiative’s goal is to showcase the excellence and diversity of Canadian science. From coast to coast to coast, organizations, schools, and libraries will be celebrating science and science communication through events and initiatives encouraging people to learn more about the world around them.

Youth Science Canada is excited to be a Science Literacy Week partner. We challenge Canadian youth to engage their curiosity and transform their questions and ideas into projects that tackle real and important issues—discovery, energy, environment, health, information, innovation and resources.

A STEM project – or passion – begins with curiosity,  fueled by reading, listening, watching, and wondering. Help make STEM resources more accessible for all Canadian youth. Share the message of Science Literacy Week with your partners, colleagues, friends and family!
